Nostalgic Doors of Vigan

“Every exit is an entrance to somewhere else.” – Rebecca Puig

Ilocos is a region in the northwest coast of Luzon, which is the biggest island of the Philippines. This is where you can find the colonial heritage town of Vigan.

I have posted some doors from this area, a few months back. (click here Doors.) But here are more that I want to share with all of you. This is for Norm’s Thursday Doors Challenge- Nostalgic Doors of Vigan

However, to those of you who haven’t been to the Philippines before, don’t be deceived into thinking that the houses in the country are all like these. These olden style buildings are just primarily in this small community and is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

This is Calle Crisologo (Crisologo Street), one of Vigan’s most popular tourist attraction. It has preserved pavements and cobblestone street and on both sides are ancestral houses.

Here are some of the doors and stone houses that can found in and around Vigan.
