“One day you will wake up and realize there won’t be anymore time to do the things you’ve always wanted. Do it now.” – Paulo Coelho
This is the Paoay Church in Ilocos Norte in the Philippines. This church is also known as the St Augustine Church and has been standing since 1704. The architecture is a mixture of Spanish, Filipino and Chinese influences.
Here are some of the benches that can be seen on the grounds of the church. Especially on an extremely warm day, sitting on one of these shaded benches is such a relief.
Since I am still in the topic of the Philippines, this is for Xingfumama’s Pull Up a Seat Challenge- Seats of Paoay Church in the Philippines.
The Paoay Church was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a Philippine National Treasure. Here is the Paoay City signage in front of the church.
You can see below some massive thick stone buttresses that have held the church up since its completion in 1894.
This is what can be seen on the grounds of the church.
The stained glass windows of the Paoay Church.
Inside the church, it has retained its old fashioned wooden pews and the tiled flooring.
Thanks for showing me this place!
