“Collect moments, not things.” – unknown
Here are some doors from my 2016 trip to Edinburgh, Scotland.
This is for Norm’s Thursday Doors Challenge – featuring the Doors in Edinburgh. I am also squeezing in some sites in Edinburgh near the Royal Mile.

A painting of a door on a wall.

The Kirk of the Canongate serves the parish of Canongate in Edinburgh’s Old Town in Scotland

Aside from the doors in Edinburgh, there are a lot of sights to see in this one main street of Edinburgh known as the Royal Mile and its surroundings.

The ancient Edinburgh Castle.

Canongate Tolbooth Clock is a beautiful 16th century building.

Very nice buildings and street shots!

Fabulous photos of Edinburgh. I was there twice and never got to see inside the castle. It’s a beautiful city

Thanks for stopping by Jean. Likewise, I wasn’t able to see the inside of the castle as well. Maybe next time, if there is a next time.

Finally I’ve caught up with your door posts. So great to see all of them! The only places that I’ve visited already are Amboise – where I camped on the island in 1991 and didn’t visit the chateau – and Versailles which came at the end of that French holiday and for which I saved exactly 1 (one!) photo, back then when taking photos was expensive. Imagine that… I love many of your photos, especially those filled with colour, and you find a great amount of extraordinary doors. Keep it up!

Thanks so much Manja. This may be a mutual admiration club since I love your photos as well. It is a great invention really, the digital cameras and SD cards.

Isn’t that just so, on both counts. 🙂 Thanks, Teresa!

I am afraid I will have to choose a warmer period. I am in Italy for some days now and I am already freezing 🤦🏻♀️😂

Great shots. I like how many of these doors inject a nice shot of colour into an otherwise pale/monotone background. Well done 🙂

Good you liked them Norm. And thanks to Edinburgh for its beautiful texture, it makes it easy to take a nice shot.
