Doors in Edinburgh

“Collect moments, not things.” – unknown

Here are some doors from my 2016 trip to Edinburgh, Scotland.

This is for Norm’s Thursday Doors Challenge featuring the Doors in Edinburgh. I am also squeezing in some sites in Edinburgh near the Royal Mile.

The Kirk of the Canongate serves the parish of Canongate in Edinburgh’s Old Town in Scotland

Aside from the doors in Edinburgh, there are a lot of sights to see in this one main street of Edinburgh known as the Royal Mile and its surroundings.

The ancient Edinburgh Castle.

Canongate Tolbooth Clock is a beautiful 16th century building.

  1. Finally I’ve caught up with your door posts. So great to see all of them! The only places that I’ve visited already are Amboise – where I camped on the island in 1991 and didn’t visit the chateau – and Versailles which came at the end of that French holiday and for which I saved exactly 1 (one!) photo, back then when taking photos was expensive. Imagine that… I love many of your photos, especially those filled with colour, and you find a great amount of extraordinary doors. Keep it up!
