The Colourful Doors of Burano

“If God shuts a door, stop banging on it! Trust that whatever is behind it is not for you.” – unknown

Burano is an island in the Venetian lagoon and is a community of fishermen. They have painted their houses in bright neon colours. More information on why they have colourful houses can be seen here on my previous blog.

For Norm’s Thursday Doors, I am featuring these beautiful doors of Burano, Italy. Some are wooden, some are painted with metal designs, some are covered with material, some are sliding and some have wooden beads.
