” There is but one Paris and however hard living may be here, and if it became worse and harder even – the French air clears up the brain and does good – a world of good.” Vincent Van Gogh
When I was in my teenage years, there were only two places I wanted to travel to… Disneyland and Paris so you can imagine how I felt when I saw the Eiffel Tower with my own two eyes.
In the challenge for this week, I am featuring Paris with the Eiffel Tower and the Notre Dame Cathedral.
This is for Friendly Friday Photo Challenge – Illumination
It is a given that Paris is such a dream destination and the Eiffel Tower is the best known landmark in Paris. But what is more beautiful is to see it at night.
Every evening, the Eiffel tower sparkles for 5 minutes every hour on the hour. I wasn’t able to capture it properly on my camera but it will still be in my memory bank forever.
The Eiffel Tower is a wrought -iron lattice tower on the Champ de Mars in Paris, France.
The tower has three levels for visitors, with restaurants on the first and second levels. The top level’s upper platform is 276 m (906 ft) above the ground – the highest observation deck accessible to the public in the European Union. Tickets can be purchased to ascend by stairs or lift to the first and second levels. The climb from ground level to the first level is over 300 steps, as is the climb from the first level to the second. Although there is a staircase to the top level, it is usually accessible only by lift.*

This is the view from the top of the Eiffel. You can see the tourist boats, the bridges, the Arc de Triomphe …. the view was just magnificent!
Walking around, you’ll be able to see these beautiful architecture. (Amidst the gypsies selling watches and selfie sticks 😜 and while eating a large savoury waffle yummmm)
This was a photo taken of the interior of the Notre Dame when we went there in 2016. It very well shows the topic, illumination, with the candles, the stained glass window and the crucifix.
Ah, Paris! It never fails to enchant 🙂
