The Swiss Alps – Wanderlust @51

“You don’t choose the day you enter the world and you don’t choose the day you leave. It’s what you do in between that makes all the difference.”– Anita Septimus

Excellent day trip from Luzern to Mt Titlis… an amazing place in the Swiss Alps. Titlis is the highest mountain in this portion of the Uri Alps.

This is Engelberg, a resort village in Central Switzerland. It is very appealing with its Swiss architecture, giving the village its own charm, topping it up with the Swiss alps in the background.

On the way up to Mt Titlis

This is the cable car coming from the opposite side. The journey to the top of Mount Titlis is amazing!

This is the skiing area.

Some selfie time with my husband and I to remember this special place.

At the top of Mt Titlis, where literally, the ground meets the sky. There are no words to describe and no photo could capture the beauty and the feeling you get when you are up there!

Have you experienced the Swiss alps? I would like to hear your story.

For the budget conscious traveller: One piece of advice, lunch is very expensive in the restaurant of Mt Titlis and for the price, the taste wasn’t even good. So better take your drink and maybe some cut sandwiches with you to save on €.
