Melbourne’s Doors to Iconic Buildings

“I don’t know where I’m going but I’m on my way.” Unknown

Some two weeks ago, since travelling overseas and crowded areas were not an option, My husband and I decided to walk around St Kilda Beach.

You may be familiar with this iconic clown- face entrance to the Luna Park, Melbourne amusement area. This has been a source of fun for kids and adults alike in the Port Phillip area since 1912.

This is my entry for this week’s challenge …. Norm’s Thursday Doors Challenge – Melbourne’s Doors to Iconic Buildings

Another iconic monument just on the opposite side of this fun building is the Palais Theatre. The original Palais Theatre was destroyed by a fire in 1925 but was rebuilt two years later … Now it is as magnificent and as busy as ever.

    1. Thanks for the comment. When I posted it, I didn’t realise that many people will react that way to this iconic entry. If you have the time you can also look at Luna Park in Sydney and see which one is more scary haha

  1. Hmm, I have to agree with most everyone else. If my 3-year old granddaughter saw that she’d run away screaming. She has a thing about scary clowns right now and there seem to be a lot of them around. It sure makes a great picture though!
