I See Red …

“Red is the ultimate cure for sadness.” – Bill Blass

Red, especially if it’s the bright shade, speeds up the heart rate. It can stand for many strong feelings like romantic love or passionate love. It can also be for violence and anger. It catches our attention that is why it is used for the stop sign.

For this week, Patti is inviting us to play a scavenger hunt for things that are red.

Here are some of my findings for Patti’s Lens Artist Photo Challenge – Find Something Red

First of all Gong Xi Fa Cai – Happy Lunar New Year 2020. My first photo is just in time to welcome the year of the rat (which stands for hard work and independence). This photo was taken during the preparation for a street food celebration down where live, last Friday.

Here is what they call “The First Band Concert” bollards at the Geelong waterfront. The bollard is the work of Melbourne born artist Jan Mitchell and are carved from reclaimed timber pier pylons.

A dance group with the crowd joining in to do the salsa at the Mornington festival.

St Martin’s Cathedral is one of the oldest church in Bratislava. Gorgeous with those red flowers.

A restaurant in Olinda at the Dandenong mountains. With my husband in red goofing around.

At the Tesselaar Gardens in the Dandenong Ranges of Victoria, Australia.

Homemade strawberry cheesecake tart.

Dinner at this quirky, unique restaurant called Marchfelderhof in Vienna. Great opportunity for a selfie.

A big red rabbit found in some places in the city centre of Vienna.

A cute little boy in red….my niece’s kid. Aint he cute?
