Christmas Time Breakfast at a Grand Hotel

“It’s never too late to be what you might have been.” – George Eliot, British writer – Happy Pills #31

Since it’s nearly Christmas time, and just because we can, my hubby and I decided to have breakfast at this grand hotel. We thought that we can make it a day out in the city as we took the train from the Southeast of Melbourne into the CBD first thing in the morning.

The Hotel Windsor is in the city centre of Melbourne’s, opposite the historic Parliament House. It is a grand heritage hotel dating back to 1883 which is evident in it’s antique mirrors, chandeliers and doors. Oh I got excited by the amount of doors that I found here. the entrance into the lobby

the entry to the dining area

Beautiful flower arrangement for the season.

Food was great too.

Getting lost when looking for the ladies’ room was an advantage…got to see all the other doors on the different levels.
