“The best dreams happen when you’re awake.” – Cherie Gilderbloom
The Highlands of Scotland is a mountainous region, the centre of which is Loch Ness. It is known for its mythical monster called “Nessie”. Unfortunately, I didn’t see her/him. The city of Inverness is known as the “Capital of the Highlands”.
To continue with the topic of Scotland, here is my entry for Tina’s Lens Artist Challenge – Pick a Place – A View of the Scottish Highlands
Ben Nevis is the highest mountain in the British Isles and can be seen when in the Highlands.
Another place to see in the Highlands is Loch Leven, where the Glencoe Boat Club is located. It provides a beautiful vista of sailboats set amongst the hills.
A great exhibition about Loch Ness and its legendary monster, Nessie.

I can see why some folks liken Scotland to Norway or vice versa. The mountains are incredible.

The mountains are fantastic in Scotland, but I still have to go to Norway to have a bit of comparison 😉

Oh you must go to Norway. It will have you under its spell in no time. I highly recommend it.
