“Where flowers bloom, so does hope.” – Lady Bird Johnson
I love this flowering Kale, because during the colder months (like now in Australia), when everything else is dying, this plant shows off its colourful leaves.
I have learned this just now: this is a biennial and it forms its head in the first year and in the second year it produces flowers and seeds. Some people treat this plant as an annual.
And do you know that this flowering Kale is also edible? After you are done admiring its beauty, you can then eat their leaves in salads and any recipe that you have with the regular garden Kale.
Grreat shot! It ‘zooms’ with clarity.
