Wanderlust @41 – the Magical Christmas Market in Budapest

“Take every chance you get in life, because some things only happen once.” – Karen Gibbs

Christmas is magical for kids, but it can be too for adults. As some of you may not know, Christmas in Melbourne is summer and because it is warm, I can’t get into the spirit of the season.

I have always dreamt of going to a Christmas market, and last November 2018, I got to experience one magical place…the Christmas Market of Budapest. Wooden stalls, roasted chestnuts, authentic Hungarian craft market, cold weather, Christmas carols, giant Christmas tree, twinkling lights, and the smell of cookies, sweets and glorious food …everything that is just so festive!

There’s so much artistic, original crafts that I don’t know where to look or buy!

Lots of mouth watering food.

Christmas markets start at around the third week of November so better watch out for it in 2019!
