“The best education I have ever received was through travel.”- Lisa Ling
The moment that I entered the gates of the Schonbrunn Palace, I was amazed with the grandeur of the place. If you are planning to go to Austria’s capital city, then this palace should be on your list. This palace was built for Maria Theresa, the only female ruler of the Habsburg. Schonbrunn was their summer residence.
The first photo shows one of the highlights of the grounds, the Gloriette. It is located at a high point, overlooking the gardens.
The next shots are inside the magnificent rooms at the Schonbrunn, showing the extravagance and opulence of the place.
The park behind the palace is a vast area of gardens and statues. This area is free of charge and any one can roam around the endless pathways. I have here some of the statues that I love because of their attention to details, especially on how the material flows.
Are you interested to go to Schönbrunn Palace? It is one great place to visit.
