Focus on Čertovka in Prague Wanderlust @23

“Once you have travelled, the voyage never ends, but is played out over and over again in the quietest chambers. The mind can never break off from the journey.”-Pat Conroy

Mala Strana, (also called the lesser Town) is the more enchanting part of Prague. It starts from just underneath the area of the Prague Castle and it extends down to the riverside area also known as Kampa.

Let me walk you through as to how to find the place…

Walk the Charles Bridge from the Old Town side going to the Mala Strana side. Once the square opens, go down the steps and you will see this view.

I stood there in awe for a few minutes…especially because of the amazing golden autumn leaves.

Just walk around and there’s a lot of amazing street sights. I especially love the colourful houses and restaurants and shops.

A romantic Streetart underneath the stone bridge.

Now, let me focus on the Certovka Canal, which is a man-made canal on the western side of the Vltava river in Prague. I was so impressed with this little place. It is not a top tourist attraction, but I tell you… It is really very picturesque. And because the houses were very close to the canal just like in Venice, it is sometimes called “the Prague Venice”.

I saw a lot of “love locks” which made it a more romantic view.

Have you been to Prague? Make sure you visit Certovka.
