Wanderlust @7 Anvaya Cove, Subic (Philippines)

“Footprints in the sand of time…
Where have you been?
Where are you going?” – Jonathan Lockwood Huie

This is a private paradise in Subic, where our good friends took us a for a few days of much deserved rest.

Walking along the miles of soft sand.

Very peaceful and so relaxing.

Sunset is an amazing sight.

Early morning delight. The pawikan (small turtles) being set off to sea.

Another day in paradise

Breakfast of native food, pansit, dried seafood and rice.

This is what I miss most living overseas, the different kinds of Filipino dessert. ‘puto bumbong’ (a type of purple rice cake), and ‘bibingka’ (a type of baked rice cake)

But before going back to the place where we were staying in Manila, I had to have this Mais con Hielo, Guinumis and Halo Halo – called Cafe Via Mare shooters. This is a sampler to quench my cravings for Filipino dessert.
