“Write it on your heart that every day is the best day in the year.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson
It was the first year that Barrangarroo had a reserved spot for people wanting to view the Sydney fireworks. People were told that gates were to open at 6pm but when we got there at 5 there was already a long queue. By 6…guess what…it was drizzling already. Then the drops became bucketful of rain until we were all drenched and soaking wet.
Good they provided us with bin bags for our rubbish because this ended up to be our poncho or jackets for the night.

Then they announce a good news saying that the rain was easing. But then when the countdown began, the rain started again.
Oh well…we were all saying “Never again” but… I guess the fireworks made up for all the hardship! And in the end it was all worth it.
