“Laughter is timeless. Imagination has no age. Dreams are forever” — Walt Disney
Let me start with my latest trip to Sydney for the New Year break. Every year I celebrate it at my brother in law’s place here in Melbourne with my 4 in laws and my husband. This year we wanted something different and we decided to go to Sydney and watch the fireworks from the Harbour Bridge.
Uh oh… expensive!!! 🙄
Flights were expensive, accommodation was expensive, and i believe Sydney in general is more expensive than Melbourne. Well that is my opinion, don’t quote on me there. The only thing cheap was my Opal fare (senior fare hip hip hooray)
First thing on our itinerary was the Blue Mountains in New South Wales. This is located west of Sydney. Here you can see the Three Sisters, a towering sandstone formation as well as a panoramic view from the Echo Point lookout.

One tip of advice … if you can avoid it, don’t go to the Blue Mountains during New Year’s or Christmas break. All you can see are heads of people, especially if you’re a shortie like me. And the buses are too far in between that we just decided to take an Uber.
I am so happy that I found this unexpected beauty here in Katoomba. It’s the Katoomba Street Art display. 👏👏👏

The street art is amazing!
