“Paris is not a city; it’s a world.” – King Francis I
Aside from Disneyland, Paris is the only other place that was in my bucketlist when I was a lot younger. I thought to myself that when I find a boy, Paris is the place to be, because it is the City of Love and Romance.
But several decades later, what do I think about Paris? Well, it wasn’t where I found the love of my life, that’s for sure. But Paris, no doubt, has a romantic ambiance… combination of its language, its beautiful architecture, its history as well as its cuisine. A mere stroll in the promenade while listening to La Vie En Rose will leave you breathless.
I went to Paris with my husband in September of 2016 and had a bit of a feel of this wonderful city while roaming around its streets.
So here I go…. Bonjour! “Welcome to the top of Paris”. At the 59th floor of the Montparnasse Tower Observation Deck, you can see an amazing bird’s eye view of the city. You can see here below, the entry and the view of the Eiffel Tower and Les Invalides.
Palais de Justice on the Ile de la Cite is a grand, classical building which was formerly a palace but is now housing the judicial courts.
Pont Alexandre III Bridge is a gorgeous bridge that was inaugurated in 1900. This bridge was built in honour of the alliance between France and Russia.
Les Invalides with its golden dome roof, is now a war museum. But when it was opened in the 1670s it provided care and shelter to the wounded and those that needed medical help.
The Centre Pompidou is Europe’s largest museum of modern art.
Happened to see the beautiful orchids and plants in this place. The Place Louis Lepine is a square where you can find a flower and bird market.
This is Hotel de Ville de Paris or the City Hall of Paris, which is one of the most popular monuments of the French capital. It is such a masterpiece of Renaissance architecture.

Arc de Triomphe is the third largest triumphal arch in the world and one of the world’s best known commemorative monuments.
Photos of the Eiffel Tower, a bit of selfie and lazing in the grass while having a picnic. 👍🏼😋 Visiting Eiffel Tower may be a bit touristy but a visit to Paris won’t ever be complete without a view of the tower.
This is the building of the Louie Vuitton Foundation in Paris and this is an art museum and cultural centre. The building was started in 2006 and the art museum was opened in October 2014.
The next is a Louie Vuitton building in Champs Élysées.
Saint-Pierre-de-Montrouge is a 19th century church. Just happened to see it as it is beside the Alesia Square where you can see the Metro.
Some buildings, thoroughfares, monuments, restaurants and streets in the city of Paris.
